MURRAY & ROBERTS DEVELOPS A FORMIDABLE PERFORMANCE PLATFORM
Murray & Roberts released its financial results for the year to
30 June 2008 and consolidated its position as South Africa’s
construction industry leader with a powerful performance that saw
its order book grow 144% in the year to R55 billion. This includes
major projects valued at about R20 billion for Eskom’s power
generation program and further major project awards in Middle East.

Christopher Bisset and Julia Hundermark of the University of Cape
Town were named the winners out of 25 entries of the 2008 Murray &
Roberts Des Baker Student Architecture Design Competition.

MURRAY & ROBERTS AND SNC-LAVALIN AWARDED CONTRACT FOR NUCLEAR
DEMONSTRATION POWER PLANT IN SOUTH AFRICA
Murray & Roberts and SNC-Lavalin Nuclear are pleased to announce
that Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (Pty) Ltd has awarded their joint
venture company, Murray & Roberts SNC-Lavalin Nuclear (Pty) Ltd. (MRSLN),
a contract to provide engineering, procurement, project and construction
management services for Phase II of the Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR)
Demonstration Power Plant at Koeberg, South Africa.
